What is Emergency Management?

Emergency Management is the process of coordinating resources to deal effectively with emergencies to save lives and minimize economic loss.  The four phases of emergency management include: preparation, response, mitigation, and recovery.  Of these, preparation is the most important.

As this site is developed further, we will provide the public with information to help prepare for a variety of emergencies that can affect the citizens in Marion County, Illinois.  This includes situations ranging from Winter Storms to Tornados and Fires.
